Armchair politics

Which French?

it’ll be interesting to see what/who his source is for that.

Macron’s source?

I see that he (Macron) has now briefed the French press to that effect so he & his government do appear to have shifted their position from yesterday.

Careful now. That is No10’s read-out on the conversation with Macron. The difference with the No 10 read-outs on conversations with Varadkar and Varadkar’s account of the same conversations were significant.

It looks like the German’s are on board though. Shame this has all taken so long to come together. Trump’s delay didn’t help either.

This is what Corbyn does, though. His entire political life has been spent opposing British foreign policy in any way shape or form. Regardless of whether his own party has been in power or not.

Whether this elicits wry amusement or applause depends on your politics of course.

However, playing the same tune you played as a pariah on the back benches for 40-odd years is one thing, but as leader of the opposition you are in the limelight.

THIS is why he will never be PM (or doesn’t want to be). Not his home policies on the economy, the NHS, the police, on schools. THIS.

I’d assume that May & co would be sharing with the Privy Council everything they’d share with the likes of Macron & Trump so presumably they (Corbyn, McDonnell, Thornberry etc) would be seeing all of the relevant intelligence. Isn’t that how it works?

Thornberry will be the next Labour leader I reckon, for what very little it’s worth.

Yes with Angela rayner after her

The French are back on side again., we probably threatened them with Rhubarb.

Our Defence Secretary just told the Russians to shut up.

That should do the trick and save the writing of a stiff letter of complaint.

Isn’t this what corbyn was saying yesterday?

No 10 releases joint statement from UK, US , Germany and France calling on Russia to explain itself and provide full details of Novichock programme to OPCW, chemical weapons watchdog

Yes, but he forgot the all important act of grandstanding in the first instance, bloody traitor.

On a more serious note, Corbyn is incapable of grasping any notion of gravitas, occasion. or decision making. He would spend a decade in committee consulting on the price of milk.

Worth a watch if you missed it last night;

Really difficult to decide which of Boris Johnson or Private Pike is more of an embarrassment.
