Carnage at Cranage?

The cape is here. I’ll take a pic of the shipbroker wearing it if he comes in.

Aren’t they meant to go more into the corner, to get extra loading for the horn?

They match the panelling in that room quite well, not that they quite ‘disappear’

Lovely room.

They look a long way into the room though.

That room is a cracker size wise.

I couldn’t make it, up with Delhi belly all night :frowning:.

Pee’d off, entertaining F1 though…

Is it a corner horn design?

They would be better on a properly designed baffle

According to their website: “Recommended Placement: Near wall or room corner is desirable.” Although I don’t think that actually answers your question

Good show, managed to lose my credit card, shut my finger in a door in the SJS room and talk to a lot of people. Surprised at how many variations of LP12s were there, lots of good and not so good sounds. The small rooms were mostly too small and crammed with people.

Tannoy’s sounded like Tannoy’s ‘shock’, good until you get to the bass end.

Liked bd room, it’s a good room which helps. I also liked the LS5/9s about the place. The VP room with the Hanns 30 and the AT Art1000, sounded very good, the platter was wobbly, but hey you obviously need more than 6 belts. The Kolk speakers and X/Over in the VP room sounded great.

Quadral, shite, Brodmann, shite, same as usual. Two AN rooms.

I really wanted to like the £10K Icon Audio horns, but they were all plumb’ey and soft ‘n’ farty in the bass. Every thing apart from the bass was good.

JBLs sounded meh thanks to the rubbish Mark Levinson streamer and amps.

Didn’t like the LVs in the SJS room at all.

Had a great day at Cranage.

Some really good rooms this year. I just wish the dealers would play a better range of music. One or two rooms played some good stuff but there was far too much “audiophile” guff played for my liking.

Things I liked

Bd audio room.
Both audio note rooms (Kate’s new favourite stuff).
Kralk audio speakers were great in both rooms they featured in.
Puresound was very good
The CAD room was interesting, very atmospheric.
The Origin Live room was good an interesting speaker choice, with a beautiful turntable that really turned my head.

Some fooey power cables in the puresound room.

Nice pics Tim

What are were they mate?

Got to be honest Kate was talking to him about them, so I’m not what they were. Really dinky little things but made a great noise.
They were a good choice for a small hotel bedroom.
