Congratulations it’s certainly an epic build…, I hope I’m lucky to hear this some day.
I just wish Pete had a TT so i could hear this on Friday if it is still in the Luton area…
Compared to Paul’s SIT Amp.
I can just about lift and carry the power supply nowadays, but the amp is ‘sack-barrow’ only.
That is because it stabs you every time you try and lift it.
Nah, that was the snowflake. This one just rips the skin off your fingers if it slips
I remember now.
Coco really should be doing Robot Wars.
The next thing he builds will have a axe that chops your fingers off if you try and move it.
They are no where near as heavy as my Mono’s and I don’t think it is as heavy as my Giscours.
Never mind all that. What phone do you use & will it sound good enough for the BTJ-9000?
I should hope not, it is an MM phonostage not a power amp!
What SUT do you use, Dave?
I have a MySonicLab 1030
Smaller and lighter than this one. …and slightly cheaper.
Is that the one where you need to use the Tekne preamp too?
I’m struggling to get the scale of these. Is it possible to photograph next to something else to compare,
The Shard maybe
Yes. At £70,000. None of the Transformers shown on the Phono Stage are for Power.
Imai san seems to have two loves - transformers and carbon
He does seem to make some delicious products out of them though
Some great pics in that blog
