Already did. There’s a resistor in the dax that can lower the output from 3v to 1 according to David. Requires soldering though so a non invasive solution would be an advantage.
I’ll probably end up doing it but was just idly thinking. Probably best not to though eh?

Do it mechanically. Gaffa tape a pillow to the front of each speaker.

My dCS Elgar had a switch that changed 3V to 1V, it was surprisingly handy.

Do it medically. Spend an afternoon playing metal with OB1 (where he now ?) and your ears will be taken down 10-15dB.

Nope I’m actually listening to music again rather than it just being in the background while I work.
The technics is firmly my backup amp with the desire front and centre.
