Cooking advice

Had a deep fried turkey at thanksgiving in Texas, the oil is so hot that it doesn’t soak into or make the meat oily. It’s really moist and tastes very good.

@edd9000 has probably cooked one being floridian redneck.

Yes, did one at work for the guys. It was amazing.

They manage some impressive stuff though, burning down houses, exploding vats of oil from trying to fry frozen turkey etc.

Removed references to exploding cats.

don’t slice it thinner - that way with a very hot pan, loads of butter and a spoon to cook the top whilst you are cooking the bottom it should work better - all the good steak cookers seem to do the spoon thing - worth a try

Butter basting

Yes, this is the answer, HOT heavy pan, minimal time then BUTTER and resting of the meat. Should I mention salted or not salted???

Except if it’s leftovers like the OP
