I suspect this is true until some even more unpalatable numpty arrives with a ‘Lock Him Up’ chant and a an even less pleasant stance on racism and stupidity. I wonder what 4 years of Comrade Trump jokes and a drip drip of revelations will do to his reelection chances. The Democrats seem pretty washed up at present so the bad news is that if Trump goes early, or doesn’t run again, we are most likely to get Pence, or Jeb Bush

Two years is a long time in politics. Did anyone see Trump getting nominated, let alone winning, that far in advance ?

His problem seems to be that he ran for president thinking that the role was basically the same as that of king in a medieval country. Finding that he can’t do just what he likes has clearly come as a surprise and a disappointment to him.
