Always reminds me of the segment in 1984 when the speaker whipping up a crowd is forced to change his speech half way through, pointing out that Oceania is not and never has been at war with Eurasia and is in fact at war with Eastasia. The crowd, instead of realizing they’re being lied to, becomes enraged and begins blaming the imaginary agents of Goldstein for sneaking into the hall and putting up all the anti-Eurasia propaganda.

When will media recognise the brilliance of Teresa ? Consider how the meetings were one gift for another- MrT was given a welcome diversionary opportunity here whilst away from his ’ difficulties with Russians election help’ back home( he’s off to Putin next) and paid her back by clearly outlining trade probs with any softish Brexit deal and likely destruction of US deal --was exactly what she wanted . And who else in the entire world has ever ever got a personal apology from him onTV ? She played him All the way And the ’ behind the curve’ media commentators who seem to have no idea of her craft. She wants to either remain ( by showing populace that they made a voting error ) or preferably hard Brexit --but shows media that she’s making all the possible plays to softish Brexit nicely whilst manipulating the levers to increase probabilities of it being unacceptable to EU . Thereby making UK International into the Tory boss/ poor worker business model much loved by our city moguls. Now u c that the rubbish agreement in Chequers was actually brilliant!

He doesn’t need to receive a ‘hostile reception’ to divert attention he could simply lock up more children or threaten nuclear annihilation to another world leader or perhaps offend a war hero or tweet ‘Fake News’ it usually works for him without getting off the toilet.
So the woman who voted against Brexit is happy to be humiliated via the Scum and the Daily Fail…The readership of which will not be reading a retraction any time soon
She wants to remain with all the economic advantages or crash out with certain hardship and perhaps the destruction of her own party including a certain leadership challenge
