The Moon is only 50w, but theyāre very nice watts.
The Moon has much betterer digital connectivity and does all the streaming mullarkey, which the Gato doesnāt. But would I actually use the streaming? Iām pretty wedded to Sonos, and if I wasnāt Iād probably end up with a NUC running whatever I fancied instead of āhi fiā streaming.
The Moon is unheard-of on eBay, and while itās more expensive, retail has recently gone up from Ā£2800 (which seemed achievable) to Ā£3300 (bastards!).
I dunno.

Heard the Moon at Munich, it really is a phenomenal piece of kit even with the price hike (and lets face it, thatās mostly due to Brexit voting morons, not Moon).
I only saw it briefly in Munich, but spent a very long time with it at the Indulgence Show (stoopid name) in London towards the end of last year.
As I said, only 50 watts, but theyāre very good watts - the guy from Renaissance Audio had it plugged into a pair of these
for an extremely simple but superb-sounding system. Not a passive pre-amp or SUT in sight 
Nothing wrong with Class-D imo though Iām sure there are good and bad implementations just like with valves or solid state.
I have heard the Gato several times and really liked it, as well as Nuforce, Bel Canto and Kharmaā¦
There is an even nicer Gato 150 amp on there that isnāt Class D if you can afford it.
