They sound good with some welly behind them, not my cup of tea but they can rock when driven loud.

I have a pair of ARC SCM20SL at home, so I know how they should sound. These however, are likely to have been overdriven and abused. They are actually SL made, not upgraded, as they have the bi-wiring.

In my view you are wasting your time with less than 150Watts per channel and these speakers.

Don’t see many Krell KMA400 amps out there (mono versions of the KSA200b). The 200 I had was good for 360W into 8 ohms, so I guess they are about 700w into 8 ohms and will double down to 0.1 ohm.

I went for less power and more finess and refinement with KAS-2 (160W into 8 ohms).

Used to have a Perreaux 2150 (200W per channel), very quick amp.
