Snow here, a thin layer has settled but won’t last long. Dogs are loving it though.
Pissing it down with hail and slush here. Very unusual as Liverpool is usually bordering on the sub-tropical
Sunny here in Richmond.
We had snow in Gloucestershire - for about 5 minutes
Clear sky and chilly now - never mind, maybe moar snow at the weekend
You need to mark out some white lines on that for footy, jumpers for goal posts…
The weight of snow has just brought down a Laburnum tree in the back garden. It’s about 65 years old and was beautiful in spring. Gutted!
Measured the snow in the back garden - 9" and still falling!
Nice of the tree to fall away from the house.
And the fence and it looks like the small pear tree on the right is only bent over so may benefit from the light.
We’ve an open fire so every cloud…
Edit - been checking outside and on-line. The base was rotten. Laburnums only live for 40 - 50 years so at about 65 this has had a good life. The reason I can pinpoint the date is that when we bought the land we were told by the owner that he had planted it in 1952.
Picture taken in spring this year.
Mods - please feel free to move this to the Obituaries thread if more appropriate.
