So FIFA has banned England and Scotland from wearing armbands displaying a poppy when they meet on November 11th. As this is a World Cup qualifying match (2018) and neither team has much chance of progressing too far in the competition, which is traditional, perhaps we should tell FIFA to shove it where the sun doesn’t shine. Remain willing to play the game but accept disqualification if they get uppity. Nothing lost and pride intact for both teams and country.
