Trying to book a few days in Stockholm at the mo. Bit spendy.

Derrrrrr. Did you expect different?

When I’ve heard Magicos I thought they were hard, loud and shouty. Ideal.

Maybe also consider the horrific Martens with their ghastly ceramic drivers?

Or Vivid, which have the extra bonus of looking like cunts.

:grinning:

You want the ones that looks like turds that have just been crimped off.

Hey, that’s also what they sound like!

Do they come in a Cheshire finish? I’m thinking Zebrano wood with pink marble and rose gold highlights?

Early prototype of the Vivid

Except it wasn’t a separate thread and I chose the dolls house speakers myself, but yes apart from those significant factual errors on your part, nope you still don’t have a point :no_mouth:

Just buy the overpriced shouty Magicos and have done with it :+1:

Magicos are not shouty in the right system. I’ve heard them sound very good ( I should declare at this point that I bought two pairs of B&W 802ds, so I might not be the best guide here ! ).

Stupid boy, that’s not the point, read the fucking memo!

(Obvs Greg’s aren’t shouty but Tuffbobs will be :joy:)

I thought Greg’s Magicos were quite nice.
I would still get Amati’s or Strad’s though.

Had the Amati’s in my room, and thought the Magico’s were better. Heard the Strad’s, but not in my room.
I do like the Sonus Faber line, but I think the Magico’s are more neutral.
I appreciate that we all hear things differently, but I find the Magico’s, far from shouty.
I just think they are musical, an overworked term I know.
I have heard many different systems, and I think many of them are more detailed, faster, more slam, more extended at the top, and better bass, than the Magico’s.
But all that said, how many of us have heard someone else’s system, in their home, and not enjoyed it?

Don’t they also come with the extra extra bonus of a home visit from Incoherent Tony?

Two tuff men, two revolting speakers - start of one Fun Nite, amiright?

Like Bob will be buying from a dealer

Tony seems to have dumped them now (or vice-versa) in favour of the eyball-on-a-stick Cabasse. Which also sound dreadful, but not as bad as Focal.

Of course you will also need the latest 6D (I kid you not…) cables at £3k for a 2m pair plus £1200 for jumper cables.

Life’s too short to read the memo.

the press release in hi fi news eexpects them to be 12-13k

So, sort of ideal for Bob and his broken ears then.

He should have a listen to your system. Not sure if will be his sort of thing. But who knows. Who cares.

mmm i would settle for some nice v3 too !!

Not for long you wouldn’t! By settle, you mean keep for about 3 months
