Munich 2017

Ugly is what they are.

They perfectly reproduced the acoustics of the hall in which the recording was made - the man said so.

Regardless of the room they are put in? Impressive.

Better looking than your’s Pete? :sunglasses:

Clearly an opportunity missed for the black permanet marker pen.

The tonearm reminds me of something.

I wish I knew. Was too hung-over to take notice.
Being a simpleton I just wander around pointing my camera at stuff.
Ed is the trade/press chappie - perhaps he can enlighten us on what we saw?

Good to see that Tannoy are still pushing the boundaries of speaker design and aesthetics.

Fair comment, the arm is very odd. I was really referring to the turntable though. The finish on the plinth is very nice.

They did have some new models at the DeLuxe Show one reminding me of the old Cheviots. They are their new Legacy series.

I’m guessing it’s based on this module

I gather you do have to wait for it to stop & 3 feet to lift up & support the platter before changing a record. Otherwise the platter is likely to be knocked off sideways.

It’ll sell to people who think it looks cool. (£1500) I don’t think the makers are suggesting for a moment that it’s really the last word in analogue playback.
