Yep, put an order in on weds for 8 pies and some chutney - stopped in Oakham to collect - the office prefers Nelsons.
Tomorrow we shall sit in full view of everyone eating a superior pie

Dickinson & Morris do sell fresh shop baked pies in the Melton shop, these are in plain white paper. The blue wrappers are made at the factory.
Locals all buy the white ones.
Nelsons are very good 
I recall something of a taste test a few years back, Nelsons won, iircā¦

Last night was spaghetti allāAmatriciana.
Found a local ish italian deli where I can get guanciale and proper pecaroni. So simple a dish but such great flavours.
Tonight is the local Indian restaurant, itās bloody good.
