Carrots, small onions, a whole garlic bulb and a couple of rosemary twigs.

BBQ chicken and mozzarella sticks, with asparagus and coleslaw.

The darker bits you see are burnt flour. It didn’t change the flavour too much but not ideal. Shouldn’t use panko. Coverage is poor and it’s almost too crispy.

Just had a mid-afternoon snack of “special” spam fritters at the local english pub. Double layer of spam stuffed with cheese and English mustard, then battered and fried. Fucking delicious

BBQ’d (surprise, surprise) drumsticks which were marinated with soy, garlic & chilli and pork & leek sausages. Served with spicy coconut rice and garlic runner beans.

believe it or not that was our first visit to the Turan, despite being 10 mins walk away… it was great, huge portions… even Louise said when she saw the starters said these are AA sized. Far better than the Taste of India in the old town whom we’ve remained loyal to for years (especially as we know the owner quite well)… we’ll be back to the Turan again…

I could happily feast on just the starters from the Turan. Delicious!
