Ribeye and chips. Glass or two of Merlot.
If you are looking for somewhere different to eat that is without pretence in Central London, we can wholeheartedly recommend Fischers Austrian restaurant on Marylebone High Street
Perfect for the night after the night , with delicious schnitzels etc lovely food at a reasonable price in a relaxed atmosphere
Have been there and itās good but would never call the prices reasonable.
Surely not unreasonable for the centre of London?
Probably not but went there with work and after living in Germany so found the prices very high.
Everywhere comparable is expensive compared to Germany ā¦ lol
I agree when compared to Germany. Last night we had 3 courses each, two beers each, and 2 bottles water. The bill was Ā£105 Inc service. That is reasonable to me for good ingredients, cooked well in a nice atmosphere in Central London. Not cheap, but reasonable.
Lunch was Pieminster Kate & Sidney with mash, liquor and smoky beans. Washed down with a pint of Hop House Lager at The Bird Cage in Thame.
lunch was eggs - dinner was a chicken casserole with hasselback potatoes and a side of sprouts (with cumin, garlic and preserved lemon) ā¦seems to be having a gaseous impactā¦
Today was our 3rd ham of the season (a personal record), straight out of the oven, thickly sliced with hand cut chips (triple cooked) and a couple of Burford Brown eggs.
Oh, and Beef Rendang in tāoven for tomorrow. Been in 4 hours so far with 1 to go. Will leave it out overnight then put it back in for 4 hours tomorrow. Weāve found this helps the flavours really come together.
Will be served with Thai āaromaticā rice.
Today for dinner we are having a sirloin joint with roasties and Yorkshire pud.
save the rest of the head for brawnā¦
Kung Pao chicken tonight, lots of sichuan peppercorns
roast leg of organic lamb studded with garlic, anchovy and rosemary (pink of course), potato dauphinoise and spring greens with Palma ham
So today was Beef Rendang cooked over 2 days. Rich and luscious, hot, sour, sweet and salty. Beautiful.
Served with homemade ginger beer.
Iāll leave it for a few weeks and then buy it when those twatty book people pitch-up in the staff canteen. Should be able to get it for a pound then.
