Kenwood Model 500. Not new but it has been languishing in the cupboard for too long. I thought it was time to try it with the Sony tt. I’d forgotten just how good it is.

I was trying to remember where the headshell was!

I’ve (obviously) no idea how it sounds, but that’s a really nice looking setup you’ve got there.

Thanks Guy. (Obviously), I think it sounds great but I do love my jap crap.

This will be my view again in a couple of weeks:

Triode TRV-845SE 20 watts of single-ended valve lovelyness.

Is that the same one you sold?

Yep. :grinning:

Which amps are leaving you then?

The Alabaster is up for sale. I don’t intend to sell either the Vitus or Aleph.

NOS Neat G30J tonearm from 1967.

Ideal for light carts around 5-6g.

Glad this never sold a while back.

On the original paperwork it specified pivot to spindle as 230mm,and after much messing have at last found out it is 222mm

Did you produce a new protractor for 222mm?

Yes,works perfectly.

216mm was out so thought i’d try 222 and go from there, that protractor is spot on.

I bought a variac and got my tech chap to put it in a case and make it safe. He did a lovely job. Now my Yamaha amps can get the 220v they want.

Any news on either of those Systemdeks fellas ?

Sorry Mike, I’d forgotten all about it!

I think I’m going to hang on to it for a bit… My youngest is showing a bit of an interest in vinyl, and if she continues I’ll sort her out with a system, and it would be nice for her to start out with something decent rather than a Crosley.
