16 Ohms from memory.
So this arrived yesterday. My first Shelter
Not brand new but that would have cost me around £1500 which would have been an expensive itch to scratch. I’ve got it fitted to an AN One on my Gyro SE and it sounds amazing. What a cart, it’s so dynamic, voices especially are uncannily real. It’s a definite contender for anyone who wants an IO but doesn’t want to spend stupid money on a SUT.
Love Shelter carts
I had a bit of a windfall so this Luxman L590ax has arrived for a demo. First time I’ve heard a class a amp. Really liking it.
That looks lovely Mind it doesn’t melt the telly…
Very nice

They’re pretty much all Class A if you don’t turn the wick up (OK, not the Class D ones). But I know what you mean .

Lovely things - I kinda regret selling my L505u
Mind it doesn’t melt the telly…
It does get a good bit hotter than I’d imagined but that’s really not going to be much of a problem in Glasgow.

After a fairly lengthy session tonight, I’m thinking it’s a keeper.
I always think it’s great when you find a product that does what it say’s on the tin and looks great.
You have sockets the likes of which not even God has seen.
Socket porn is a thing.
Full Kondo loom is gonna cost bigly with that lot.
Ah, two tape loops (if you count the VCR input)! Luxury!
The Curdman cometh!
I haven’t been so excited by my system for years, to be honest I was becoming jaded by HiFi but the specially inert yellow nectar has banished boredom for good. The Curd stabilizer is singularly incredible, the user only needed to place the jar in close proximity to his component’s power supplies and other critical circuit locations to realize audible sonic benefits. In 1997 Curdman introduced On-Line spreadable curd which incorporated one of the three circuits from the Stabilizer in a more compact and spreadable solution adaptable to a variety of audio installations which include smearing cables and directly spreading on internal circuit parts. The yellow stamp of approval came in the late 90’s when their zesty patent (#5,814,761) was issued followed by major recording and mastering studios such as Pink Floyd’s Astoria Studio permanently installing Curdman jars in their facilities and kitchens.
I do hope that lid is non-magnetic.
