To be fair, it’s worth it. Even hiring a fork lift on occasions that I wish to reposition it would be ok.

My build (Paul’s amp) is closer to the SIT Nemesis in concept. It also uses 2SK79 small signal VFETs for the input stage.
It’s very much like a traditional interstage coupled valve anp.
Oh, so it’s not just me then. I’ve seen a surprising number fail one way or another, even when they’re not pushed hard.

No they use original Sony VFETs
With Pass Labs now owning First Watt brand, it is easier to get hold of FW staff. I was offered today SIT-3 for under 3000 GBP. Tempted, though I don’t expect to beat my 300b amp.

No, but I do have a 2nd Vfet kit which also hasnt been built
