I have no idea on numbers. It’s that bad.
I have six pairs of Trickers for work, and some church’s and c and j. At least double that in Trickers boots and shoes.
Chuck in some Mcnairy, Vass, A Sargent, and sanders.
I am Imelda.

Do a donkey count, and know your hooves love hifi
Had two handmade shoes from Fosters
Hi Vasken,
Two is a good number if you have the regular amount of feet
That’s just brilliant.
Regular is above average though

My current favourites. Allen Edmonds. Pigskin, which I’ve discovered doesn’t crease much.
Thought you’d appreciate the selvedge with turn ups.
Very nice.
pondering pairs of these from Tricker’s
in Beechnut which having never seen in the flesh - I am not sure about…
Looks like someone wiped them over with a fresh dog turd.
You should totally buy them
I liked the brogues from the 70s,lots of the modern ones looked a bit misshaped to me.
I’m sure they were more round than pointy
thank you for your fashion advice. I am with you on this matter, and have purchased them.
Would you like to be my fashion advisor and colourist?
I know what you mean. Bourton are more round in the toe, I have a pair in Chocolate from Tricker’s but I fancied something a little different.
Oh hell no - you are doing a fabulous job, dahling, I wouldn’t want to gild the lily
I used to like acupuncture trainers, the soles / tread always had a little something that left behind interesting tracks in mud etc.
this being one…
That’s “Maureen” for polishing a turd, isn’t it ?
Well the C&J factory shop was quite an eye-opener.
At John Lobb I was the only person there. The shop is behind a locked gate. There wasn’t much stock, and it was kind of £650 upwards.
C&J was well stocked, prices were (comparatively) low, and the place was packed with young Chinese and Japanese men who knew exactly what they wanted. Specifically “grey boxes”: one-off custom orders that hadn’t passed QC.
Trickers was either very well hidden, or shut. I couldn’t quite work out which.
All in all quite a strange day.
@cobbler the Lamplighter was a good shout. Thank you.
