No, it’s just the forge that is shutting. It first opened in 1709 and the Ironbridge was made there.

They are getting the iron from other UK and EU firms and will continue to assemble and do the enamel at Telford.

That seems a damn shame all told, notwithstanding my dislike of the cookers.

I used to go diving under it to get beer money from tourists who chucked coins in. A mate Eustace Rogers, made the coracles.
