I really hope not that sounds very bad.
Good news
It’s a thing that could happen if the seabed displacement is in the right direction and over a large enough area, but the chances are small. A lot of the movement along those margins is more-or-less transcurrent, so they shift a lot of rock, and make a big rattle, but don’t heave much seawater around.

Nightmare. He deserves better than that.
Not a fight he will lose easily, fuck knows how he walked away from some his crashes, even falling down a lift shaft and breaking both ankles, feet and back only slowed him down slightly.
