What my still pictures don’t show is that many of these incredibly detailed floats have multiple sections that move & rotate while the people on board are dancing along the whole time. It’s quite a thing to see at first hand and quite unexpected in a sleepy Somerset town.
Some video from a previous event. watch a few of these floats to get the idea.

Very impressive,who funds/makes them?

They’re all local clubs who raise funds and put their hands in their own pockets to build these things from scratch during the year.

Sorting out 6 pheasants and a brace of partridge for the freezer.

Amazing work, must take some serious dedication to get them up and running.

Can’t say that’s my favourite Tull album.

I really liked them in Munich and Sven is a great guy.
Nearly bought a pair.

There is literally thousands of pounds spent on these creations and it can get quite competitive. You do have to stand next to one on full tilt at least once.

Staining fascia boards.

Procrastinating

Repairing holes, dings, dents and gouges in the cottage’s walls.
Discovered some damp patches which will need fixing. I suspect some dislodged roof tiles. Local tradey coming over on Tuesday :persevere:
