The cure is to only buy records you know you’re going to play more than once, and to not get sucked in like a drunken magpie over every bloody limited edition 100 off splatter coloured vinyl with some fuzzy guitars on

I’m guessing tape hiss from the master? - I’ve done a Mofi / Original pressing A/B It’s far less apparent on the original pressing. Some tracks suffer more than others it seems.
