I vaguely recall a friend of mine talking about a Loop / Godflesh covers record around the time but because I was so drug addled nothing much did properly register. Now you mentioned it I looked it up on Discogs and now know what he was on about!
The new Godflesh album is about the best record I’ve heard this year. I like it that much. It’s not an easy listen but the band never were.

funny how sometimes you stumble across an album that reflects your mood. On the anniversary of my mother’s passing this is pretty close.
