Certainly not as visceral as their early stuff, but even back then they had some very fey things going on, look at the early stuff Bobby Gillespie put out with Primal Scream.
I quite like this album, might put Psychocandy on in a bit to compare and contrast.

'tis better, granted. But they are, like, 50-odd now. I bet their gigs exceed 15 mins these days and don’t end in riots anymore.
In a way this is a bad thing, but as I am careering towards 50 myself, I can see where they’re coming from…
And anyway, my copy is Orange, and Jim gave me an autograph kiss. So there.
