Wassat like then Kev? Worth a punt? Can’t Spotify atm cos of Question Time…

It was a project set up by by Cecil Sharp House in I think 2015 looking at the movement of folk songs from the UK to the USA and back again and what happened to them along the way. Seen these two do two wonderful concerts exploring the themes, so I heard a lot of this live with the explanations and commentaries (which don’t appear on the records) which enrich it for me.
But the playing is sublime as you would expect from Flemons and Simpson. If you like their individual stuff this is better than the sum of the two parts.

Finally gotten round to listening to this - bugger me the sound quality off the Blu-ray Disc is quite something else. Very likely the best digital I’ve ever heard.

You are going to cost me at this rate.
To clarify, is the stereo on it in hi res?

My only way to play blu ray is PS4 so I’d be having to connect to my dac by optical?

I have 5.1 sound but it’s via an old onkyo av amp and b&w MT style speakers and a pv1 sub, so good for films but not audiophile. I’d be likely to have to use stereo through my hifi rig to take advantage of hd quality music.

I’d be better off with it as a download code on the nas.

IMO better than weekday daytime 6music. Less chat, more eclectic and no Liz Kershaw/Lamacq.

Lamaq is case study in mediocrity.

I’m just listening to a Lions win :lion:
