Yeah 'tis pretty heady stuff.
This is a nice box set focussing on some of his last albums. Including Mayan Temples.
All are pretty good. Reflections in Blue & Hours After, are favourites of mine & the Stuff Smith Tribute with John Orre & Billy Bang on electric fiddle is also well worth having I reckon.

Probably should have been a real hit on its release, back in 1982. Rather than sinking into obscurity until the new millennium. A good example of Record Company exec level mishandling & fuckwittery.
Quiet a good example of him having his finger on the pulse of things to come, rap in particular.
