What I'm watching (Part 1)

Wasn’t that the one two weeks ago before the break?

Not seen this weeks yet but I am loving it. How they can pull all the strands together I have no idea.

Yeah your right. Ep8 is the latest I’ve seen. Wish I was watching it on a big screen for the full visual overdose.

Yep. Has to be a dark room and loud!

Bonkers but brilliant.

Lovely film. More than most of us, I guess Ritchie will have a feel for what these people do.

I’m a bit obsessed with Northamptonshire shoes.

Far too many Trickers. Will have to watch this soon.

“The skills learnt as an apprentice that then take your lifetime to perfect.”

This I understand. :+1:

I watched that a while ago and enjoyed it.

There was a similar one about tailoring too, mostly focusing on Charlie Allen IIRC

This one ?

Nope, I think I’d have remembered that

I think it was this (assuming the link works):

The Perfect Suit - BBC Documentary:

No excuse needed.

Best part of that film is Les Grossman dancing at the end.

That, was bloody fascinating. @Wayward you are a very talented and modest individual.

Particularily enjoyed the fact you kept Stronzettos name out of the limelight.

I am beguiled by bespoke clothing…

But my wallet resents it.

I’d love to have a wardrobe made to measure, but settle for off the peg. I use a local tailor for tinkering with bits I get that aren’t quite right, and often wish I knew more about it all. I’m a clothes snob, but it’s mainly bagging a bargain when I can and I hitting the quality bit rather than the logo part!

I’m clap handed, so I’d never be able to cut straight, never mind make anything!

I had some trousers made by that Les Smokings fella. Bloody rubbish they were. The zip broke & my incontinence pad kept falling down the right leg. Stick with Primark or Asda if you know what’s good for you.

…also pretty damned brave too, the amount of cutting and bashing about he’s subjected himself to because of the horrible jaw/teeth problem he had.

The difference between now and the way you looked a few years back in that film Ritchie, is bloody astonishing…:ok_hand:

It was good wasn’t it. Will you be doing one on Yorkshire vs end-feed vs push-fit Stuart ? Or the mashie niblick and the baffing spoon perhaps ? Your lad’ll have a smart phone I imagine.

Are you saying his avatar is really him ?
