No idea about any quotas. It doesn’t really matter what colour these actors are. These are works of fiction brought to screen.

It matters to me, just as I wouldn’t want the portrayal to feature an unrepresentative number of giants, aliens, small people, transgender people, Inuits etc. It distracts from what is being watched & looks like unnecessary virtue signalling
Yeah let’s keep it realistic, so that if the part calls for a eunuch, the actors have to lop off their bollocks

both Louise and I watched this carefully as it is one of our favourite books. But until I saw this thread neither of us realised there were black actors in it.
Thought it was one of the last places where they still used the terms, of course pinching their arses is a bit of a no-no at the moment though.
