What I'm watching (Part 1)

I’ve got two elder kids so this has been going on for a while. I do like the Minions though. You get a top quality fart gag every now and then with those lads…

Obviously, not in your league, but they specialise in quality and not quantity. :slightly_smiling_face:

Who needs kids to watch animated films - some of the best films ever.

It’s superb, funny and moving.

Absolutely - it’s brilliantly done as is Wall-E and in among some of the top-drawer Pixar films I think they are up there with the best of them.

Wall-E was the first film a took Sam (my now 11 year old Son) to see, he was transfixed, and so was I

More Godless. The cinematography is very enjoyable. There’s a lovely wide shot in Ep 1 when they linger on Alice heading back into her house across the field, but there’s plenty more examples of paying attention to how scenes look on screen.

Just started Babylon Berlin.

Just finished the Punisher. I got ‘de binge blues’ Always a good sign when you don’t want something to end.

Columbo

Marvels inhumans.

Acting is abysmal. Some of the dialogue is funny despite the actors keeping remarkably straight faces…

And the plot is frankly shite. My King.

If you stop to think about it, it’s acually worse than shite. Oddly, I’ve watched them all.

How many space aliens end up porking random strangers in hash farms when apparently mentally deluded? Yep. That’s a spoiler.

The League Of Gentlemen

With the news that there will be three new episodes at Christmas, I’m going to watch Series 1/2/3 again.

I might even make my no-tails watch it.

Been watching episodes from Series 1 after the Detectorists. Still very funny & what a contrast. Whereas Detectorists is absolutely minimal, LoG crams in dozens of funny lines & visual gags per episode. It’d be interesting to see S3 again. I thought it was inspired but didn’t get much attention alongside the last series of the Office which was running at about the same time.

I’m currently watching the first series of that, recorded on the PVR a while back.

Enjoying it. The arch villain is an epic loon.
