Really quite amusing.

I found myself chuckling more than I expected.

Haha, Charlie Brooker is boss.

Just started watching “Stranger Things” Some really funny moments among the tension.
So far it appears to live up to the hype.

Have recently watched season one of Billions, starring Paul Giamatti and Damien Lewis. Really enjoyed it (more than expected), and the writers have done a good job of not making the conflicts of interest etc. seem forced. Nice little kink sideline pops up periodically too, and for once it’s not horrendously done imho.

Just watched Sightseers - very entertaining black humour.

Watched a cracking documentary on an archeological dig in Orkney the other night. Fascinating stuff, the general theory was that this settlement was the starting point for stone circle construction in the UK. Worith a watch

A double bill of Shed and Buried (Travel Channel Freeview 42).

If I had my time again I’d be into motorbikes. Not the modern fluorescent Jap machines, the 70s scramblers, and Norton and Triumph motorcycles. Watching Henry and Sam go saucer-eyed over a shed full of vintage bikes I can definitely see the appeal.

I really enjoyed the first episode of Taboo. If you like that style of gritty ‘realistic’ period drama (Ripper St, Peaky Blinders etc) then this one should be essential viewing.

The Bowie documentary on this evening was good as well. A lot of footage I hadn’t seen before.

Tom Hardy is great on screen and I suspect his character will be less downplayed in future episodes. He was stunning in Peaky Blinders last series.

Great script and Billy Bob Thornton too . The style and pace reminds me of American Hustle. It’s no coincidence the evil boss in the tall tower is called Donald. Probably, anyway.

Good recommendation.

Absolutely. Just started it tonight after kicking The Man in the High Castle into the long grass.

I caught that on catch-up. It was good wasn’t it.

I also saw the ‘How to Build a Nuclear Sub’ programme Bob. I thought it was funny that they pixellated some bits of the footage out. It reminded me of Japanese porn. I kept an eye out for you but didn’t manage to spot you. Were you in one of the bits they pixellated ?

Nah, I managed to avoid the bloody cameras. However the Commander on the motorbike was my boss at the time, all he needed was the bloody Top gun theme tune to go with it

He was a back afty engineer and came to me for some technical data we could release on the sonar to support this programme. I explained it was classified but he did insist. if you ever read that Astute can hear a ship leaving New York from the English Chanel you will both know where that came from and just quite how dumb back aft engineers can be  As an example,
