Are they the same bass drivers as the ones in your Acoustilens speakers?

Very very nice, can I also have these for nothing?

Triple your offer - that might tempt him.

The drivers in the 2326A (Chipboard bastards) are 2080H (Additional 30g mass ring) The ones in today are the 2080A’s (older probably 50’s)

Negatory Sir!

Go on then @Valvebloke, what valves have we got here?

Oh, is that up for grabs ?

Unfortunately not, in the museum at Abbey Pumping Station.

2 Looks like a Mazda triode in a ‘balloon’ envelope - maybe an AC/HL https://www.radiomuseum.org/tubes/tube_achl~2.html ?

1 In this pic of the same piece of equipment (taken when it was cleaner !)

valves 1 and 2 have been interchanged. So we at least know they have the same base (or perhaps that the sockets are, say, B5 and the bases B4 or B5). It’s hard to read but the type number could end …N7L or …W7L. The manufacturer is Cossor. I don’t know of any Cossor types that end with those numbers. Furthermore almost all Cossors with the metallised paint also have a top cap, which this one doesn’t. Oddly Mazda did make an AC/HL in the metallised coke-bottle shape

So maybe valves 1 and 2 really are interchangeable ?

3 It says Mazda AC/VP1 so, er, I guess that’s what it is. That would make it a variable-mu pentode. These were developed for use in the RF and IF stages of radios where the variable-mu feature allowed the gain to be controlled automatically by the AGC circuit (yup, Automatic Gain Control) http://www.r-type.org/exhib/aaa0320.htm.

4, 5 These look like PX25 class output triodes in the (early) balloon envelope. Worth a pretty penny if they’re working.

6, 7 These are rectifiers of some sort. They contain two diodes so will be full-wave. The ceramic bases are unusual and may make them later replacements. Something like an FW4/500 perhaps ?

What is it ? It looks like it delivers audio power of some sort. I see labels on the wall which look like film spools (or maybe audio guide numbers ?). Did it deliver AC power to a projector motor with the pitch control allowing the movie to be speeded up or slowed down to change the audio pitch (OK, that’s a wild guess) ?

Anyone ever seen a Leak Stereo Adaptor box before?
It’s quite charming little bugger and I’ve not had one in before - Sadly I can’t seem to find any info on T’worldwidewebbinz ?
