I had a listen to that yesterday Olan - it is very good although it could do without bloody Norah
That was my impression too. Her voice just didn’t seem to fit the material. Laetitia Sadier was a strange choice too, but the whole is greater than the sum of its parts…

I think a few Mercury Rev fans might be suprised if they buy it on autopilot.
Their last few efforts have been less than memorable . This is a really strong LP. Shows what they can do with the services of a decent songwriter
