Can’t beat a nice fresh crab…

I wouldn’t place my knowledge of botany very high on my CV, if at all, but I’m told that Sea Oyster - Mertensia maritima (AKA - Oysterplant, Oysterleaf, Sea Bluebell - amongst others) is a rare plant on these isles. That same stony beach the Otter visited has at least 5 decent sized mats or cushions (I’m advised that these are the correct terms) It is listed as a nationally scarce species in Britain.

Nice looking yacht, anchored in The Wick of Tresta today

The white specks on the cliffs behind are nesting Fulmars.

Bat for Lashes playing last night at a Church in Kingston - promo for her new album. Just her and a harpist for 45 mins, nice acoustics added to the ethereal feel that she espouses.

Snapped this little critter on a Cotoneaster plant in the garden, I believe a Vapourer Moth Caterpillar?

First with an FA50mm Macro (too short a working distance really) and the second with the DA*300mm f4

Punky little critters. We have had them in our garden from time to time.
