Actual photography

As bleak as a bleak place.

Looking South from Purdown yesterday. The skyscape was nice. Hard to capture though.

Just seen this and saw a news peice the other day where the large concrete ring at Orford was finally, and officially identified. It was part of the US early warning system for ICBM launches prior to satellites. It housed a hellical array, from memory Type R radar system that had remain classified. A pair of sleuths tracked down and spoke to one of the original designers who confirmed it’s purpose.

One of the volunteers explained all of that while we were there. I didn’t realise it was new information. Fascinating place.

Love the second pic.

I’m sure everyone who walks into Kings Cross with a camera takes the same photo

It’s quite similar to the ceiling in the British Museum is it the same architect ?

… and, if they do, I’m sure that a few get it right, but many don’t.

No idea, lots of resemblance.

The British Museum was Norman Foster and King’s Cross was McAslan + Partners I think - but definitely a resemblance.

No matter it looks amazing.

Not sure I’d 100% trust the schnitzel in a restaurant watched-over by Jeffrey Dahmer…
