No bragging and no pics, couldn’t be more mundane, but Sam came home yesterday with a test-lift of spuds from the farm she works for - so straight out of the ground into a bag and home.
I cleaned their flawless skins, banged them in the micro for 12 minutes, and then buttered 'em up and into a 170C oven for an hour and ten.
Allotmenteers and veg-gardeners don’t need telling this, but jesus wept, new spuds straight from the ground are fucking spectacular compared with the plaggybaggy stored-for-a-year stuff from the supermarkets!
