I decided not to bother with this until I spotted a cheap copy on eBay a few days ago. Fuck me, its an incredible listen. Significantly less compression than the original mastering has brought a new life to this in a way I didn’t expect. Thriller was the first album I bought and I haven’t listened to it for years (like many I suspect) but this is worth owning. The standout song is PYT, which goes to show how transformed this version is from the original. FWIW the narrow slipcase packaging is of excellent quality and not too bulky.

A curious one, Amanda Cohen recorded this in London for Warner but it was only released in South Africa. There’s a really nice version of motherless child on here. For a major label release it’s quite a rare thing.
