Great voice, and apparently was a really nice guy in person: my mum was a huge fan and met him several times when he started touring the UK.

I don’t really have any musical guilty pleasures as it’s no doubt quite obvious now 
I love the big man - if you look beyond his more successful stuff there is an amazing amount of great songs among his back catalogue and then there is the great albums he produced as well.
How can you not love this

I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised and not to mention that signature snare drum.
I’ve Got So Much To Give is an interesting listen being his first album - I think Isaac Hayes was a huge influence on him at the time.
