Delightfully relaxing album
I think you’ll find Purple Rain trumps cod reggae with a lead singer affecting Sebastian the crab from Little Mermaid.
I think Prince is a great singles artist but I have never liked more than 3 or 4 tracks on any of his Albums, other than the Singles / Best of Albums 
I think that would be my argument for Police too, a few singles and a lot of filler . Stewart Copeland’s drumming is always good tho’
Agree on Copeland’s drumming. Wouldn’t do for us all to like the same thing, eh ?
Also I think their previous album the one with So Lonely and Roxanne etc is better.
Best pop album is a good question though (it’s Thriller for me but as you say opinions will differ)

I don’t know how I managed to miss this when it came out (too much plinky plonky jazz probably 
) but it’s banger.
I’ve streamed most of their ouput at some point, but haven’t got my head around it all yet - I like it all but I know if I buy it all it’ll never actually get listened to, so have to pick carefully
