Has to be one of the oldest CDs in my collection, might have been in the first batch I bought

Pink Floyd - Obscured By Clouds

It’s 8:00 so quite dark this time of year, sky looks grey because the snow is coming so heavy . . .

Original Canadian pressing, Atlantic Red Label. These are good pressings from that era if you ever run across them :+1:

In our final year of school my mate was head of house and so got the best bed-study - quite a big space up in the eaves of the building.

We all used to loaf around in there listening to that and Permanent Waves.

Very fond memories.

Used to be one of my favourites in the 70s. JK fell on rough times and was saved by the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Ran a successful carpet business afterwards.

he was living in Wales I believe,
He came back to Sussex toward the end of his life (2012/3 ish) and played a number of gigs at small venues fairly local to me. I saw one advertised that I couldn’t attend and got a gig list, I meant to go and see him but life interrupted and I never did. He didn’t play many gigs and then became ill, from what I can gather he died after a long illness in 2020.

There are some great tracks on that album. at one time ‘The Ballad of Cursed Anna’ was a bit of a staple at folk clubs.
