I remember the radio broadcasts.
Still lines of Russian tanks on the roads into Prague when 3 friends and I drove through in August 3 years later.

That’s the Blue Swallow Motel. We’ve stayed there. A lovely original Motel. Tucumcari is a great route 66 town.
