As far as atmosphere goes Cliff house had a fair bit going on it seems

Local cricket fete I went to when I was about 13 had some of the banana splits buggies that you could drive around the edge of the pitch. They were identical, with the same Lever steering, no idea who owned them, but were great fun.

I worked for a company in about ‘76 that imported them. I used to help work on them and get to move them around and test them. They were called Argocats and I thought the connection with the Banana Splits was cool.
