Doing the walk of shame Dave?

The last time I walked in Brighton at 6am the skies most definitely looked like that :+1:

Well, not 6am this morning (Dec 9th) Dave . I got off the train in Goring at 7am for a 17-mile walk to the pub for lunch and at that hour there was hardly any dawn light in the sky at all. I needed a torch once I was out of the village. Sunrise was 07:58, and it would only have been 8 minutes earlier in Brighton (south and east of me).

December 8th. It wasn’t me but my friend’s son Dan who took the photo.

It’s a great shot Dave, Dan should be proud of that one.

It’s a lovely pic all right. But he needs a new watch. Either that or the French nuke plant at Penly has let go and they’ve somehow managed to hush it up.

07:50 was sunrise in Brighton on 8/12/21. I’m sure it’s a typo thingy, 08:00 rather than 06:00

Just went and had another look. Sunset 2nd Dec 5.23 pm. Lol.:joy:

Looks like the sun is setting in the east, though?

Lol indeed ! (I’m pretty sure the sea is south of Brighton, so we’re looking east, no ?) My money’s on @Rob998. We’re near enough to the solstice that the sunset time’s pretty much static now and the sunrise is only varying by a minute or so a day

Well nice picture.

Indeed it is, really good. Perhaps he needs to set the time correctly in his camera settings to avoid nerdy discussions!

I will ask him the time. It is obviously morning. Will get back to you.

If you feel the need Dave, I’m happy that it’s just a great sunrise shot.

All the other stuff is just shooting the shit really. :grinning:

Sorry :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: ! It’s going to take me a little while to forget this morning’s cold dark climb, that’s all.

In the spirit of the thread, the view back down over the Goring Gap from the top can be worth it
