Sadly I don’t remember any tv characters running around like nutters in the Harrow Debenhams branch
Bastards. Fuck you Debenhams.
Sutton and Croydon had the nutters, just not the TV bit.

The Sex Pistols at London restaurant Langan’s Brasserie 1977, kept under surveillance from the back table by Michael Caine (who co-owned the restaurant at the time), as documented by John Mead.
Hahah They would have been having to go some to outdo Michael Caine’s Partner Peter Lagan. He could usually be found under one of the tables anytime after 11am.
Remember reading about him and his death in an interesting book called the Essex triangle. Think he died by setting himself on fire or similar
Irish-born Langan, whose Langan’s Brasserie in London’s West End was a favorite withshow business personalities, co-owned the restaurant with actor Michael Caine and chef Richard Shepherd. He also owned a recently opened restaurant in Century City.
Langan was burned when a fire broke out at 4 a.m. Oct. 21 at his home at Alphamstone, 50 miles northeast of London, after what police called a serious domestic incident with his wife, Susan, 46. News reports at the time said Susan Langan, who broke her ankle jumping from a balcony, had told Langan she wanted to leave him.
The British domestic news agency Press Association said police believe Langan may have started the fire deliberately after an argument with his wife.
Langan, an admitted former hard drinker, was remembered at Langan’s Brasserie for stunts such as crawling across the floor and biting customers’ ankles and putting out a fire in the kitchen with vintage champagne.
Sid, always the man!
