Lovely cart wheels. Reminds me of seeing bare chassis being driven on motorways sans cab and coachwork by intrepid Barbour and goggles wearing drivers on their way to the coachbuilders.

120 years ago it was a hard fought battle between steam and ICE - with all the advantages to steam given you could get coal and water almost anywhere, but petrol was only available in expensive cans if it was available at-all. First petrol station didn’t come along until 1919, expedited in part by the sudden influx of war-surplus vehicles!

Looks as if there was a Bus version of it & while the peak years were the 1930’s they continued supplying steam vehicles as late as 1950.
