Any old Pics - replicating google images, one post at a time (Part 2)

That is the intention, short crust has been neglected of late and a Basque pudding will be on the menu for that winter sun mouthfeel

Reminded me of this

The cover of The National LP was taken from the Bohyun Yoon work Fragmentation which you can google, but I won’t link to for nudity reasons

Great photo of Bill Haley & The Comets 1956 - Madison Square Garden maybe ?

Google Lens says Maple Leaf Gardens.

I’m wondering about the weedy PA.

Apparently the Beatles at Shea Stadium were easily drowned out by the crowd.

Maybe a 50s Canadian audience were respectfully quiet.

Well at least the crowd at the front look as if they’re enjoying themselves.

Every Beatles live Album I have heard (all bootleg, I think, have they released an official live Album ?) hasn’t been worth listening to, as the crowd completely drowns out the band.

Pleasing

A striking miner faces a line of police at the Orgreave coking plant during the miners’ strike, June 1984. Photograph: Don McPhee

The Guardian are flogging copies, I wouldn’t normally link to sales sites but this is a striking (sic) photograph

I had no idea Oliver Reed was a miner

Would go well with the pic of Adrian Street and his Dad at the pithead.

I had no idea Elvis Presley was a policeman.

Wasn’t there a Likely Lads episode where Thelma recounts to Audrey a dream in which she, Thelma, is “being ravished by Oliver Reed who is naked except for a miner’s helmet” ?

Or am I mixing that up with something else ?

Aye

Not Audrey then. Nor the ravishing Thelma … still, not too far off for heaven knows how many years.

No, Susan
