It was The Turk’s Head when I was in Reading. I much preferred The Queen’s Head (a.k.a. The Knob) when it came to student pubs with skull-related names in that part of the Thames Valley

Good Pub that. Largely free of students and decent beer. I wonder if it is still as good as when I was last there in the 1990s?
Bloody hell that’s a blast from the past, I went there once , about 1982. Was it on the riverbank ? or have I got false memory syndrome ?.
Almost, it is next to the Kennet & Avon Canal just before it meets the River Thames.
