Pfaff factory
Pfaff Beer Cellar
Pfaff are ok but I’ve never used one that is as good as this: Brother DB2-B755-3.
They were first built in the early seventies but afaik most of the internal mech was nicked from a much older machine, the Singer 96k, which for a large portion of the 20th century was industry standard in clothing factories. The genius of this design is that the ‘head’ sits in a recess in the bench over a sump, this is filled with oil and the oil is fed around the head by a pump. This meant they ran much faster than anything before them and had much greater longevity. The original is super smooth, almost bomb proof and requires very little maintenance. You can literally set one up and it’ll stay like it. Afterwards, to save costs, Brother shifted production from Japan to South Korea and this model and subsequent iterations were never as good.
Hammertone, the mark of decency.
I thought you would like that.
I’m too busy pfaffing to actually achieve anything!
