This had parked itself mid-trail during the week, no idea what sort of moth but had the look of a mini Barn Owl. Moved it off into the long grass where it likely wouldnât get trodden on. Canât imagine itâd last long, the Rooks and Jackdaws are regular in the fields and it wasnât inconspicuous
Taken from the 2nd floor of my house out of the Velux at the back with my phone. Looks like something from Stranger Things - 80âs vibe, waiting for the rip in the space time continuum to bring madness to all.

Mine is at the edge of bassenthwaite just past st begas. Although the same view from the top of Dodd wood is a nice alternative.

Even the eldest who isnât a bug fan commented on its beauty
Link not working for me.
Itâs the Shiki-Shima train from Japan.
Very smart, but expensive. Like a 21c version of the Orient Express.
That looks amazing.

Relocated it to the hinterland across the path out front. Was questioned by fascinated walkers who fled upon the revelation that our pet snake has once again escaped.
A4 Locomotive 4498 Sir Nigel Gresley is nearing the end of a long restoration and has been painted in Wartime Black to I have to say stunning effect.
At York prior to heading back up to the NYMR?
It is at York but I understand off to Crewe to finish the last bits of the restoration. This is just a temporary finish I understand from another forum(National Preservation).
